You can stop yo-yo dieting and get healthy with a healthy weight loss program. You know what happens. You lose weight and quit dieting. Then you put the weight on again; diet again; put the weight on again; diet again, etc. This must be insanity. Doing the same thing, in the same way over and over again while expecting a different result, is insanity.
There was an article in one of those rag magazines with the headline that Kirstie Alley only has 4 years to live. The article pointed out that after years of yo-yo dieting, she has seriously damaged her body and has cut years off her life.
Now I don’t know how accurate that is, but I think any doctor would tell you that yo-yo dieting is very unhealthy. Eating a lot of high sugar foods is like poison for anyone serious about losing weight because it plays havoc with your blood sugar and keeps you off balance.
The key to winning the weight loss game forever is to set yourself up for success from the start. Instead of starting another fad diet, just decide to start a more healthy diet. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables with a small amount of carbohydrates and protein.
If you have trouble with binge eating or compulsive eating, you have to get control of that. If you crave sweets or any other foods that sabotage a healthy life style, resolve now to get rid of those cravings.
