If you stop dieting and change your lifestyle, you will be more successful with weight loss. Going from one diet to another is called yo-yo dieting and is very unhealthy. Looking for the next fad diet often leads to weight loss followed by weight gain when you quit dieting.
It took me many years to discover that simply changing my lifestyle and learning to eat healthy was the best answer of all. There is no better weight loss program available than learning how to eat healthy and watch my portion sizes.
When I say stop dieting, I mean to quit following the latest quick weight loss program and make the changes that will lead to success. A program to lose one to two pounds per week will help you reach your goal in a healthy manner. Add in exercise and you have a successful approach.
A healthy diet includes 3 servings of fruit, 4 servings of vegetables, 4 to 8 servings of carbohydrates, 3-7 servings of protein/dairy, 3-5 servings of fat, and only about 75 calories of sweets. The trick is to understand what a serving size is. Most people don’t understand what a serving size is.
Here’s an example, 1 slice of whole wheat bread is a serving. 6 whole wheat crackers is a serving, 1/2 cup of fruit juice is a serving. You can find more information about portion sizes on the internet. It goes without saying that restaurants serve way too much food for someone watching portion sizes.
Another important thing to learn about dieting is controlling emotional eating or compulsive eating. You can do that by using NLP and hypnosis to change bad habits. You can learn more here by requesting a FREE E Book on Effortless Appetite Control here now <=.
