The Real Score Behind South Beach Diet!

Written By: coach on October 24, 2009 2 Comments

For some people, the South Beach diet is nothing but a different version of Atkins. While principles and weight loss ideas are quite similar in certain aspects, one must realize that it has its own brand of thinking and diet sense.

The creation of South Beach diet is actually prompted by a need to finally find medically-supported answers. People got tired of the usual promises which are often broken by fad diets and pills. Moreover, people have become more interested with full-proof ideas concerning the heart and its relative illnesses.

So, what does the South Beach diet actually bring? What differences can a person expect while in the process of following this weight loss program?

  1. The diet emphasizes the significance of good carbohydrates. It means you have to lessen consumptions of pasta, cereals, fruits, potatoes and breads.
  2. This weight loss program also follows a regulated and long-term dietary pattern. In fact, you have to undergo several phases and each phase comes with its respective list of pros and cons in terms of food type and intake. For example, dieters are advised to not eat breads, fruits or rice during the induction phase. Even a person’s alcohol consumption is regulated.
  3. Generally, South Beach represents the advocacy for nothing but good fats and carbohydrates. Bad oils are definitely eliminated in one’s diet. And while other weight loss diets advice radical changes in a person’s eating ways, this actually encourages eating in normal-sized portions instead of worrying over small portion food sizes and calories.

After years of trying first one fad diet and then another, I learned that the real secret was to learn to control my appetite for the wrong types of foods and change my mindset to eat  healthy. That means protein, carbohydrates and plenty of fruits and vegetables. By using hypnosis for Effortless Appetite Control, I was able to lose weight without stress or anxiety.
